Patricia Shriner - and greyhound friend

Last week on August 5, 2010, Whippet Rescue lost a very special friend: Patricia Shriner.

Patricia was, until very recently, the right arm of whippet rescue and a tireless advocate for whippets - and all other breeds of dogs. She personally helped to rescue and/or rehabilitate hundreds of dogs who might not have otherwise had a chance at a new life. She did it with open eyes — and an open heart.

If you have contacted Whippet Rescue in the last few years, you have most likely talked to Patricia - and followed her directions to fill our forms. If you visited the kennel, or went to an adoption event, you probably met her in person...along with her whippets Griffin and Minnie.

...and, like me, you are probably shocked to hear that she is no longer with us. She was so full of life that her absence is almost unthinkable. We will miss her greatly.
